Childhood obesity
Scenario: With medical research showing the adverse and sometimes life-long effects of childhood obesity, many health organizations recognize the need for raising awareness and providing accurate information that helps prevent or reduce the problem. A nonprofit that provides medical support to children of uninsured families has noticed a rise in obesity rates in children it serves and feels that many patients and their families are especially at-risk because of socio-economic challenges. The organization needs a strategy to reach these families with its message of creating awareness and referring to resources and support.
Assignment: Devise an outreach strategy that includes social media tools to raise awareness about childhood obesity and how to find help. What social media tools could be incorporated in providing information and resources on childhood obesity.
